OUR IMPACT

A core tenet of Youth Media Project (YMP) is for youth to have a public venue for inquiry, discovery and expression. YMP provides a platform through our educational programming, and our radio and internet broadcasts. Critical to the success of our efforts however, is how student’s and educator’s work finds new life beyond our own outlets. Our goal for YMP productions is that they travel beyond the perimeters of our reach to find a larger audience where they can engender new meaning, purpose and action. The following are acknowledgements to media works and service leadership activities which started at YMP, and have grown beyond us to find their own place in the greater world.

YMP is proud to say that we made the cut again this year and a YMP-produced project was recognized by PRX on their “Best Youth-Made Radio of 2011″ list.

Ellie Evans, a student from the New Mexico School For The Arts, created an imaginative and poetic piece that challenges our current understanding of the world around us and asks the question: What if?
