YMP Summer Intensive Description
|
Dates: July 20 – July 31, 2009
Hours: 10 am – 4 pm
Location: Santa Fe Community College
Ages: 14 - 25
|
Participants will produce their own radio pieces and radio shows for broadcast and web distribution. We will start with media literacy, as well as listening, writing and recording exercises. Incorporated into our two-week session will be community fieldtrips, recording of interviews and soundscapes, basic digital audio editing, practice in oral delivery and hosting, audio engineering at KSFR studios, mastering of audio pieces and uploading audio work on the Internet. Our productions may include personal narratives, documentaries, commentary, spoken word, radio dramas and more. We will conclude by producing an hour-long radio show, comprised of youth-produced material generated during our Intensive. Depending upon participant interest our final production will become a presentation for a live audience. |
